Denver Hsu's Innovative Gym Design Wins Silver A' Design Award

Revolutionizing Fitness Spaces with Unique Aesthetics and Functionality

The Jian gym, covering a total of 610 square meters, is a testament to Hsu's vision of a fitness space that deeply explores people's desire for fitness. The design is characterized by large areas of dark smoked wood and red travertine, which, under the influence of sunlight, express a love for fitness. The entrance area, with its bronze metallic paint and red travertine water bar, creates a comfortable space that flows around function.

The gym's unique properties lie in its division according to scene style. The areas include a water bar, dining area, training area, personal training office, locker room, and Pilates classroom. The use of materials, colors, textures, and lighting guide people into the world of fitness. Yellow bronze stainless steel is combined with red travertine and smoked wood to create a strong yet simple atmosphere, emphasizing the function of each scene.

The design process, which took place from May to September 2022 in Nanning, was not without challenges. The main challenge was to design a beautiful, practical, and high-quality gym that could inspire users and integrate it with a park dominated by design, art, and culture. Influenced by crude architecture and underground fight clubs, the design uses concrete bricks and gold-copper alloys to create an atmosphere full of modernity, making it elegant, warm, and strong.

Unlike traditional gyms, Jian does not have uncomfortable visual interference or fancy interior decoration. It represents a lifestyle that attracts people with the same values. The designer aims to draw space through lighting, dividing the space naturally into different functional modules and providing a visually dynamic and capable experience for fitness enthusiasts.

The project's intellectual property rights belong to Denver Hsu, and the image copyrights belong to Sense Space, both dated 2022. The Silver A' Design Award is rewarded to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. These designs, admired for their strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcase a remarkable level of excellence and introduce positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
